Postpartum Lactation Consult

Hands-On Help When You Need It Most

When something feels off with feeding — whether it’s pain, a baby who won’t stay latched, slow weight gain, or a supply that’s tanked — you shouldn’t have to troubleshoot it alone. In your postpartum consult, we do a full feeding assessment, watch a real feeding, and build you a personalized care plan you can actually follow. We serve families throughout Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, and the wider North San Diego County area.

  • Available in our Carlsbad office, in your home, or virtually
  • Full feeding assessment + written care plan
  • Most visits covered by insurance at no cost to you

Complimentary
Weight Check

Free Weight Checks — No Appointment Pressure, Ever

Not ready for a full consult, but want to make sure your baby is gaining well? Come in for a free 10-minute weight check on our medical-grade infant scale — no obligation, no pressure. It’s a simple way to get peace of mind between pediatric visits, during a growth spurt, or while you’re adjusting to a new feeding rhythm.

Infant weight gain can feel like a constant source of worry in those early weeks — and we get it. Our scale is accurate to the gram, so you’ll leave with a real number, not a guess. Our IBCLCs are always nearby if you have a quick question while you’re in, and if it turns out you’d benefit from a longer conversation, we’ll make it easy to schedule one. No pressure, ever — just support when you need it.

  • Completely free, 10 minutes.
  • Great during growth spurts, after birth, or while adjusting pumping

  • “So grateful for Rochelle!

Every time I do an appointment with her, I am beyond glad I did. I think my ability to have a meaningful breast-feeding journey with my daughter, and work through emotional distress over tough moments in breastfeeding has been very much due to her wisdom, kindness, and expertise. Her assessments are so thorough and her follow up feedback and recommendation resources are an incredible value.”
    – Holly
  • “Juliana was a major help…

…during a very vulnerable time. I booked multiple at-home lactation consultations when I was freshly postpartum, and she provided personalized and thorough after-visit reports to support my breastfeeding journey. Her visits always left me feeling more informed, reassured, and capable. Juliana is a big reason why I continued with breastfeeding. My insurance covered the cost of the visits, excluding the travel fee.”
    – Stacey
  • “Rochelle and her team are incredible!

“Thanks to her my daughter is now feeding well and she gives me constant reassurance by answering all my questions through her messaging portal. She is absolutely incredible and they have fantastic resources as well!! 10/10 recommend their services and I may have given up on breastfeeding if it wasn’t for their support and knowledge.”
    – Taylor
